Listing terms for producers

Local Surrey Honey is a trading name of Adventor Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14448334, whose registered office is 13 Kinglake Court, Woking, Surrey GU21 8AL.

These terms apply if you submit a listing, claim an existing profile, or ask us to change one. They sit alongside our terms of use and privacy policy.

Basic listings are currently free for independent Surrey honey producers, beekeepers and relevant local associations.

We aim to review submissions within a couple of weeks, but we make no promise about timing.

By submitting, you confirm that:

• The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You are authorised to provide it on behalf of the business.
• You own the rights to any image you send, or have permission to use it, and it does not identify anyone who has not agreed to appear.
• The information does not include anyone else’s personal details without their knowledge.
• Nothing you have written claims that honey treats, prevents or relieves any medical condition.
• You hold whatever registrations your activity requires — for example registering as a food business with your local authority, if that applies to you.

You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish the information and images you send, on this website and in material promoting the directory. You keep ownership of everything you send.

The licence lasts while your listing is published, and ends when we remove it — except that we may keep an internal record of the listing and why it changed, as described in our privacy policy.

• We publish your business name, town, outward postcode area, description, products and how customers can buy from you.
• We publish a town and outward postcode, not a full address — unless you tell us you have customer-facing premises you want people to visit.
• We do not publish your contact name, email address or personal telephone number. If you want a public business number shown, tell us.
• We may lightly edit your wording for length and house style. We will not add claims you did not make.

“Verified by producer” means only that you have reviewed and confirmed the main information on your profile. It is not a quality mark, an inspection, or any kind of certification, and we do not present it as one.

Before we mark a profile verified after a claim, we will take reasonable steps to confirm that you represent the business — usually an email from an address on the business’s own domain, or a reply to a contact route the business already publishes.

Email luca@adventordesign.co.uk at any time to correct your listing or have it removed. We will act on removal requests promptly and will not ask you to justify one.

We may also edit, suspend or remove a listing ourselves — for example if it becomes inaccurate, if the business appears to have stopped trading, if it breaches these terms, or if we simply decide the directory should no longer carry it.

• Any fee, and what it includes, would be shown clearly before you commit.
• Paid features would be additional. A free listing would remain free.
• A paid listing would run for the period stated and would not renew automatically unless you agreed to that at the time.
• As a business you would not have the 14-day cancellation right that applies to consumers, but we would refund the unused portion if we removed your listing for a reason that was not your fault.
• Paying would never affect whether a profile is marked verified, or how it ranks in search results.

What we do with the details you send, how long we keep them and your rights over them are set out in our privacy policy.

You are responsible for what you tell us and for the products you sell. If a claim is made against us because information you supplied was inaccurate, or because you did not hold the rights to an image you sent, you agree to cover the reasonable cost of dealing with it.

We provide listings free of charge and are not liable for loss of business arising from a listing being edited, delayed, declined or removed, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
