What this page will need to cover

  • Who the data controller is, and how to contact them.
  • What we collect from visitors (newsletter email addresses, contact and listing form submissions) and from producers claiming a listing.
  • The lawful basis for each use, and how long each type of record is kept.
  • Any analytics or hosting providers used, and whether data leaves the UK.
  • How to request access, correction or deletion of your data, and how to complain to the ICO.

Cookies and analytics

  • We use Google Analytics to understand which towns and producers visitors look for, so we know where to grow the directory. It sets cookies in your browser.
  • Nothing is loaded until you accept. If you decline, no Google script is requested, no cookie is set and no data about your visit leaves your browser.
  • You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page.
  • We record which pages are viewed and which producer websites are clicked through to. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not build profiles, and we do not share data with advertisers.
  • Your consent choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage. That is not shared with anyone.
  • Google Analytics involves transferring data to Google. The full policy will need to state the safeguards relied on for that transfer and how long data is retained.

What is true of this prototype today

  • The newsletter, contact, listing and profile forms are demonstrations only. Nothing is transmitted or stored.
  • Producer information shown in the directory was compiled from publicly available business sources.

Local Surrey Honey is an independent directory. We do not manufacture, certify, sell or deliver listed products. Please confirm product origin, ingredients, availability and collection or delivery arrangements directly with the producer.
